Well, tonight my daughter finished her state report along with her poster for a classroom presentation. I kept her home from school today to do the project. It took her all day to finish. Of course, after school her teacher called me and chewed me out for doing so. She said I was irresponsible and that I frustrated her. I did not give a defense nor did I offer an excuse. She is my daughter and my responsibility. Sometimes teachers think they are God's gift to the planet. Frankly, I'm starting to think that not all of this is my daughters fault. I suspect that her teacher overreacted a bit. However, that won't prevent me from holding my child responsible. She has a lesson to learn from all of this.
I added a counter to my blog so that I can see how many people are actually accessing it. I have lots of folks saying they read my entries. It would me nice to know how many.
I'm not sure how I did it but, I finished painting 3 Iron Warriors minis today. They all look pretty good. I'm pleased with the progress. Tommorrow I plan to assemble the remainder and perhaps face Emmrick in a game this weekend. I have a mess of Tyranids that my friend just gave me. They should be a good test for my "shooty" army.
Only two days until I go see Episode II. I'm chomping at the bit but I'm also a bit gun shy. I hope that Lucas did a good job.

Whew!! I finally heard from my old friend Momoka. She wrote me to tell me that the a passage in her blog did not refer to me. It was good to hear from her. I'm glad to hear tht her life is at least halfway normal. I hope to communicate more in the future.
My daughter absolutely infuriated me today. Her teacher called to ask why she had not turned in her class project. Well, we thought she had completed her project. But, it appears that she has been hiding notes to us and lying when asked if she has homework. I feel betrayed by her. We were so proud because her last report card had As and Bs and she was doing well at softball. But, now I feel like I can't believe her. It hurts me so much because I want her to do well. So, I spoke to her coach and told him that I may pull her from the team if she does not get the project done this week. I then told her that she's been kicked off the team. Her Mom told her she might be able to beg her coach to let her back on the team if she does a good job. I think she's been motivated because she spent all evening working on her report. Even if she does play I think I'll purposefully miss a couple games to let her know that I am disappointed and upset at her. I just really want to get it through all my childrens heads that if the screw off in school they wil pay the price.

We had a very nice Mother's Day today. My wife went to work early in the morning and we started cleaning the house. In the afternoon I picked her up and brought her home to a nice clean house. Later we went to a barbeque and ate like pigs. I had a few beers and my wife got to drink wine coolers with an old high school girlfriend. My poor girl was so tired from work she fell asleep halfway through the party. I didn't get to visit my friends grave like I wanted. But, I doesn't matter, I had such a good time with my family. I think that's what he would have wanted.
I caught part of this show today on ABC called Dinotopia. Oh my God!!! I can't believe that a script that bad could get to the production phase much less making it on prime time televison. It confounds me that they would spend so much money on special effects and have such poor writing and very bad acting. I found myself hoping the main character would get swallowed by a T-Rex. Sometimes I think that television producers have given up on trying to produce a quality program.
Talked to my buddy Emmrick today on the phone. He's coming over for a visit this week. We're going to see Attack of the Clones together on Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing him because we can play a game or two together and hang out. He needs a vacation, and hopefully I can lure him away from living in Mordor. We've been having rather warm weather lately which will appeal to him. Plus, it's still in the middle of the Spring bloom which is the most beautiful time of year to be here.
I also talked to Tess on the phone. She called my wife to wish her a happy mothers day, but she was at work. So when I picked up the phone I could tell she didn't want to talk to me. I chit chatted anyway and she perked up. The conversation was puzzling to me because she sent mixed signals as to whether she was still moving here this summer. I stayed true to my oath and did not mention the move. She did say she was having problems with her son. I believe now more than ever that she needs to get custody of her child. His Father is a slime to the Nth degree and is totally neglecting the boy. I've always been an advocate of a boy's need of his Father. But, this kid is being abused in the worst way. Both her and her son will be in my prayers.
