Well, I'm feeling better today. But, the weather is still bad. Oh well, I guess I'll stay in and try to make some progress painting my Iron Warriors.

So far, I've got my Basilisk, a Dreadnought and one Havok squad completed. I have a half of another Havok squad left to do and a sorcerer I bought at Barry's store in Mordor. By May I have to buy and paint 4 ten man squads and a warsmith. Fortunately, the silver and gold paint sceme is easy to do.

As a side note, I ordered and paid for several 40K minis from Ebay at the beginning of the month. So far, only one item has got here. I hope I'm not forced to give someone bad feedback.

My wife sure loves me... She made me biscuits and gravy for breakfast today. Yummmmm!

More to come later...

Well, it seems that I brought some nasty bug back with my from Mordor. I'm not feeling well today. Spent most of my time in bed asleep.

Since the weather is bad today I guess it's a good day to be sick. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better by the time it clears up again.

AHHHHHH I'm home.

Well, I had a very interesting day. First of all, I got to go on the air with my old buddies at the radio station where I used to work. It was great to laugh and carry on with them again. They are a great bunch of people. They even took me out to lunch later. I also got to see my stepdad again and visit more with my sister and nephew. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. But, it is good to be home.

I am very thankful to God that I live where I do. It was so nice to get back to the warm dry air. As I pulled into town I witnessed the most beautiful sunset over the mountains. It is the little things in this place that I love so much. I hope I never forget why it is home to me, and my prayer is that my family and friends can live here one day.

The Doctors visit went well. I think things are looking good for me to return to work next month and to start exercising again. :-)

Lastly, I am making good progress in talking to my old friend. I think he believes that I sought revenge against him.... I think that for the first time in a long time... that is the farthest thing from my mind.

Well, here I am in Humboldt County. Yuck!!! it's cold and damp and people don't know how to drive down the street. Fortunately, I have a good friend that puts up with me sleeping at his house.

Today I visited my Mother's grave. I still need to buy her a headstone. It was good to visit her remains though I know she is with me every day. Then, I went to the nursing home and saw my stepdad. That was hard, but I got through it. I was surprised to see how clear he was mentally. I had a nice conversation with him. I will go see him tommorrow before I head home. I also got to visit with my sister and nephew. That was enjoyable.

Finally, I heard back from the old friend I had been trying to chat with. He sent me perhaps the clearest email that I had ever received from him. It gave me alot to think about. I'll write more about it later.

Despite my difficulties this morning it's been a good day. I finished a computer game I've been playing, Mech Commander. I'm kinda psyched aobut my trip tommorrow. Though I hate going Mordor It will be good to see my sister and nephew. I also need to pay a visit with my stepdad who is in a nursing home. He's been hard to visit with since his second stroke. But, I'll bite the bullet and do my duty to the man I owe so much to.

My oldest daughter got a deficency slip today from school. I am furious with her. She's failing social studies because she's too lazy to do her homework. I came down on her hard by grounding her for the rest of the school year. She had better get a C in the class by the end of the year or I will ground her for the summer(yuck!)

The weather was very nice today. In fact, it was quite warm. Still looking forward to summer. Hiking, swimming and camping etc etc...
I didn't sleep well last night. I was plagued with fitfull dreams... Or rather nightmares. All this apologizing and seeking out old friends has awakened old wounds and has left me grumpy today. It's funny how these things work. I guess I figured that by mending old fences I would be treated like the prodigal son. That hasn't happened. Nevertheless, I will continue in my endeavor.

Email and chatting is a funny thing. In my paranoia I think that everyone I talk to online is confrontational and angry. I think perhaps a face to face meeting will clear things up. So, that is my next goal.

Last night I got to chat on ICQ with my old friend. But, only for about 30 minutes. He typed slow and was pretty enigmatic. I think he is playing games with me. But, I will continue to talk to him.

Then today I chatted with another friend I hadn't heard from in a while. I was nervous because we had parted over two years ago on bad terms. He was guarded during our conversation. I apologized to him. But, it helped only slightly. I plan to continue conversing with him when I can. He was a good friend and I miss him. I hope he will understand that I'm just trying to mend fences. It's part of my crusade to recapture what I once loved, my youth.

I heard from my lawyer today that I have to travel back to Mordor(Eureka) this week to see my old doctor. I do dread going to that place. Oh Lord, please let this be the last trip.

Went and saw Ice Age today. It was a very funny movie, I liked it alot. I did notice that the story line was alot like Monsters Inc. But, I guess I can forgive the writers for it.

I also got a painting project done that I had been working on. It's a Chaos Space Marine Dreadnought painted in the Iron Warriors scheme. I'm pleased because I managed to paint it's twin linked lascannon black and yellow striped like it's showing in books about Iron Warriors. It doesn't look bad. Hopefully I can get a 1700pt army done by Memorial Day for Kublacon. In case your wondering what Kublacon is here's a website: www.kublacon.com

I'm hoping that it starts warming up soon. I'm looking forward to a long hot summer.
