Oh man!! What a great day. I made the rounds today visiting everyone I've neglected during jerkous's visit. Then, I got home in time to pick up my wife from work and go out to the lake. It was so nice floating around our swimming hole with my wife on her air mat. My therapist said swimming the backstroke is good for my shoulder. So, that's what I did. These long summer days are exactly what I've been craving.
Today I got a call from the chair for the loan committee about our business loan. He had a few questions about our plan and about the business in general. I'm excited because I was able to answer his questions to satisfaction and I got him excited about the proposal. He said the loan committee meets next week and he'll present our plan to them. We could be a week away from getting our loan!! I was encouraged because he emphatically said he thinks the plan will work. But, on the bad side he said our credit rating may be a hold up.

The tyrant is overthrown. Jerkous is gone, and we have set about to restore our household to it's former glory. Today I spent part of the day bringing in bags of groceries we had hidden. Also, we're having our air conditioning unit put back in. LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Just kidding. As I said before we really enjoyed Jerkous's presence. My son really enjoyed having someone else to beat up on. It was kinda funny because later today my boy kept asking me when are we going to get his jerk(refering to Jerkous).
Now I have to set about finding a job. Today I applied for unemployment and started browsing job classifieds online. Tommorrow I'll check the paper. I know it's going to be hard to find a job here. That's why I'm hoping to find something acceptable to hold us over until we get the loan to open our business.
Also, I went and bought my fishing license. It cost almost $35 bucks! But, it'll be worth it when I start taking the boy out to fish on a regular basis. Also, this weekend I'm going fishing at a place nearby called Orr Lake. That'll make Tess happy. I'll explain why later.

Day 5 of the Jerkous occupation. Food is running out. Don't know how we'll survive. I may have to go for help. Or perhaps we'll just abandon the house and let him loot it. :-)
Actually, I've been enjoying the big oafs company. We managed to network our computers so it's been LAN game central here. Of note, we've been playing Quake III. It's been very enjoyable but, I get motion sick after a while. Also, we've been playing Galactic Battlegrounds head to head. It makes for a long game. But, most of the time it is fun. Except for the other day when I got slaughtered by the Gungans. How embarassing!.
The kids are finally home on summer break. At this point it's kinda nice to have them around. It makes it feel like it's actually summer. I'm sure they'll grate on me after a while. But, I plan to enjoy them as long as my patience holds out. I forsee alot of days spent at the lake. They love to swim.
Speaking of the lake, this week I plan to get my fishing license. My boy has been bugging me about going fishing. Everytime we go to the lake he refuses to get in the water. He just sits on the shore with a stick in the water pretending he's fishing. I don't know where he got this behavior. But, I'll teach him to fish if he really wants it. I can't wait to see the look on his face the first time he catches a fish.
