Well, I tried again to reobtain employment from Games Workshop and I was once again turned down. This time I was told that there was no way I could work for the company in any capacity. So ends a sad chapter in my life. It was proven to me that one can be honest, and hard working yet still lose out.
On the positive side, I think I may have found a house we can buy. Up the street from where we are staying is a vacant house. I tracked the owner down and left a note on his door asking about the place. After getting no response, I went to the local Catholic church where I heard he just held a funeral for his mother. Well, it ends up that the owner died several years ago and the funeral was for his wife. However, the Church put me in contact with his only daughter who said she would be delighted to sell the house to me. She even agreed to let us rent-to-own the place for 6 months to a year. I find out more about the home next week after a contractor goes through to get an estimate on needed repairs.
Both of these incidents illustrate to me Gods blessings in our lives. He has shut the door forever to a job that is not right for me, and he possibly opened to door for me to finally own a home. Oh God let me be accouted as a worthy servant.

I started my search for a job today. There are several possibilities and I am positive that I will have gainful employment soon. The worst part is waiting for someone to make up their mind to hire me. However, our search for a house is not going so well. We are facing higher rents and picky landlords because of the housing situation here. Siskiyou County is unfortunately a resort community with scores of time shares and vacation houses. So, naturally that drives up both rent and property values. I just have to hold on to faith that something will come along sooner than later. Then to top things off we are waiting for our mail to catch up with us. In it are at least two checks worth close to $700. That's money we need to get a house and pay our bills.
I'm now convinced more than ever that my ole Armenian friend is avoiding me. He strung me along talking about BBQs and fishing but now he seems to not want anything to do with me. I tested him again today and he stood me up again. When I questioned him about yesterday he lied and told me he went someplace else. I'm just at a loss about what to do, and I have no idea what it was that I did to drive him away. This life is hard enough without having people play idiotic games with me. I don't want to be strung along.
It is such a sad thing that we hurt each other so much. Bonds of trust broken and clouds of discord and hatred fall.

Christ is Risen from the dead! Trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!!
Had a nice Pascha today, besides the fact that all our friends are being sticks in the mud. We roasted lamb kebabs at the local park and relaxed in the sun. It is truly great to be back home where I feel like I belong.
Still have no house. Tommorrow I go to look for a job. I think my chances are good. In Gods own time something will pan out.
On a sad note I'm ready to just give up on my Armenian friend. I've seen him once since I've been here and that is only because I sought him out. Today I know he was home but he did not answer the door both times I went there. I don't know what the problem is but I can't force him to be my friend. It makes me deeply sad. I am at my wits end with him. During his troubles last year he said it seemed like all him friends abandoned him except for me. Now it seems that in my troubling times he has abandoned me. Again it makes me deeply sad.
