I am so very proud of my daughters. They played their first exhibition games today for softball. They all did extremely well. I just am so amazed that they went from never playing sports to doing this good. They integrated into their teams beautifully. My second oldest daughter played first base and got several people out by herself. Her coach said she is a natural. I was so proud I had tears in my eyes.
A funny part of today's games was of course the weather. I never thought I'd see a game snowed out before but it almost happened today. What a freakish storm, for the past week it's been sunny and warm. To their credit the girls still played ball and had a great time. Of course my wife, the sissy, had to spend part of the game sitting in the car.
My good friend Jerkous is in town this weekend. It's good to have him around. He always has a way to make me laugh. I had hoped we could go boating but, I think the weather will prevent that. Tommorrow before he heads home I hope to take him up to Ney springs. I hope that one day he can move back here. Despite what he says I know he hates Mordor. But, for now I think he's comfortable there.
Got a letter from the insurance company today saying their cutting me off because I did not return to Mordor. My lawyer says I can apply for state disability again, which is good because they pay more and are easier to deal with. I never thought I'd actually like a bureaucracy.

Today I took the younger kids to Ney Springs. It's the site of an old resort in the mountains near here. Not much is left of the resort except for a rock wall and a concrete slab on a stream. But, it's near a beautiful waterfall. The water was very cold and refreshing. Near the springs there was the smell of sulphur which probably was why there was a resort near there. The kids had a great time as usual. I can't wait to take my wife there. I found out that my youngest daughter, who is also the smallest, is very sure on her feet. She was climbing the rocks like a goat.
In other news, for the past few days my shoulder has been feeling real good. In fact, it hasn't been hurting much at all. But, today after I got done with Physical therapy it was hurting again. I know it's supposed to be helping but... It sure doesn't feel like it afterwards.
Lastly, we heard back from the loan people. We have to jump through a few more hoops but, it looks like we may be on the fast track to self employment. They said the business plan we drafted looks good. Here's hoping.

This blog is dedicated to 1.5 million of my relatives and countrymen who died at the hands of the Turks in 1915
Well, today is Genocide Rememberance Day... at least in some parts of the world. A million and a half people just snuffed out and most countries, including the US, doesn't recognize that it happened. I lost at least 3 aunts in the massacre. It was by Gods grace that my Grandma and Grandpa escaped. To this day the Turks say the kilings were against Armenians who took up arms against Turkey to help Russia. If that's the case, why were my three aunts put to the sword? They were very young at the time. I'm quite sure they couldn't even lift a firearm much less fire one. Perhaps you say I should just get over it. Ha!! If we forget the past we will relive it! The Jews had their Nurembourg trials, where is the justice for us? Without justice, there is no peace. Just look at Palestine.
Well, I'll get off my soapbox now. Today my second daughter had her final practice before her first game on Saturday. She played first base and did an awesome job. I am so very proud of her. She has came a long way since she started a month ago. She also got her uniform today. It looks great on her. Black shirt with light gray pants. I think this is gonna be a great summer.
Also, today I spent more money I don't have. My wife ran into a guy at her work that used to do Civil War Reenacting. He wanted to sell me his musket. I made a deal for payments over the next few months. All total I'm spending $350. Well, I guess I owe my wife again. The musket is real nice, it's a 1861 Springfield. The good part is that I can reenact both as a Yankee and Reb, I just got to get a blue coat(don't tell my Wife though... her family is from Florida).
Lastly, as much as I'm looking forward to it... I think I'm not going to make it to Kublacon. My gaming club is kinda peetering out on me, and I can't afford the hotel room by myself. It's to bad because I wanted to meet Andy Chambers, the lead designer for Games Workshop.

What a great day. My wife had the day off and we sat around the house doing projects. I continued to work on my armor, and wifeypooh started working on her garden. She's now the proud owner of a 1/4 inch blister on her hand. But, the garden looks great. I helped her pull dandylions for a while. Then later we planted a row of corn. I may even eat some when it comes in. :-)
Later this afternoon we went to the softball field for practice. My second daughter has improved by leaps and bounds. I'd say she's now up with the rest of her team. But, she needs to work on her batting. She amazed me by playing first base today. She got several people out and was catching the ball consistently. I am very proud. This weekend is her first game of the season.
Well, last night I made a deal with Stout that pretty much makes up for me spending too much money on that helm. Stout needed money for an apartment and offered to let me buy ALL his gaming books including some vampire and D & D books. I talked it over with my sweety and we decided to put off a bill to help him out. How this makes up is that wifey really wanted to buy the new D & D system, and now we own them all, in one fell swoop. Too bad we had to spend more money to make up for overspending. :-)

Today was a frustrating day to be a parent in my home. My wife was at work so I had to supervise my children doing their chores. It took all day for them to clean the bathroom and a bedroom. They fought and feuded the whole time. Then, I took them to the softball field to practice. They fought the whole time until I got frustrated and brought them home. As I write this they are giving me hell about going to bed. GRRRRR!!!!!! This is definitly a phase their all going through and I'm gonna have to nip it in the bud.
I made some great progress on my armor today. I attached some buckles and straps in order to hang the armor from my belt. It is so light and flexible I can't believe it. It's gonna go great with my new helm and my chainmail shirt.
Well, tommorrow is the fateful day. The Bastards of Mordor will be waiting with baited breath for me to show up for work. But, I won't be there! They can just kiss my rebel ass if they think they can jerk me around any more. I have a new life here and I'm not giving it up.
Lastly, I've been a bit concerned lately because my friend zouave hasn't been returning my emails. He said that Bear would probably sit him down at some point and try to convince him not to associate with me. I fear that he was successful. Zouave has always made up his own mind about things. But, as he said... the last couple years has changed him. I still don't understand why I am so threatening.
