Human validation is a lie

I hate human interaction. The complex social conditions we live under are a form a tyranny. They stifle human happiness and more often than not lead to drama and intense emotion. I cannot deny the heights of ecstacy and joy that human bonding can bring. But, sometimes in a Epicurian sense I wonder if the pain is worth the pleasure.

Why cant we just be honest and straightforward with one another? Why would we rather tell a lie or procrastinate to avoid potential confrontation?

Another major problem I have with human interaction is in the field of domination and control. Why is it that we each desire to control those around us?

Call me a misogynist, but it seems that females are the worst offenders in this fashion. Perhaps it is because they are physically weaker than males, so they choose other means such as emotion to control their subjects. The Ancient Greeks wrote many times about the sorceress that would use her charms to control her victims. In the Greek mind it becomes clear that this power was more dangerous than a sharp sword.

I find it comical that we live in a society that extolls the virtue of hard work and sacrifice, these being the essence of every successful person. Yet, in very many ways we also disvalue the virtue of natural talent. A good example is Susan Boyle, the English singer that appeared on television. Angelic voice, not so strong in the physical appearance department. We marvelled for a short time, then cast her aside. Imagine a long distance runner that shows up for the olympics unshaven and overweight, yet her wins the race over those who have worked hard to get in shape. What would our reaction be? Think Michael Phelps, he wins numerous gold medals in swimming, and is elevated as a national hero. Then its revealed that he smokes pot, now only Subway restaruant will give him the time of day.

Of course, the one bit of natural talent we do love, and raise above all others is simply physical attractiveness. Any one of the long list of pretty boys and hot chicks can be the most hard hearted, dumbassed buffons and we will still love them. Chris Brown, and the former Miss California both come to mind.

On that note it should be said that I find most college girls I meet to be like a hand grenade painted to look like an easter egg. They look great on the outside, but pull that pin and your in for a surprise.
