Still waiting... only another week to go before Union Pacific closes the application period and possibly makes a decision regarding the numerous applications I put in. The waiting game is killing me but I know this will come in Gods time not mine.

On Thursday we went before the judge regarding our bankruptcy. Everything went smoothly and we should have everything discharged in about 3 months. As I said before I think bankruptcy is alot easier than people make it out to be. I know it might be complicated a bit if I owned property or a business. I have a theory about bankruptcy that I promised earlier to share. I think that the average person is afraid to go the bankruptcy route because of how the media makes it out to be so intrusive. In fact, I think that the proliferation of credit counseling businesses out there are funded by financing companies to steer people away from bankruptcy. When in reality credit counseling does little to help you out and in many ways makes you a bigger credit risk. I believe it is these credit counseling places that really puts a negative spin on bankruptcy. Being "non-profits" they get their funding from somewhere. Who stands to lose the most money from a society that can just ask the court for protection and actually get their debts forgiven?

Well, I managed to start painting again. I got interested in my Dwarfs again after I got Armybuilder to work. Armybuilder is a program that allows me to make up experimental army lists. Anyway, I have ALOT of painting to do to get anywhere with my army and make it presentable.

It's getting down to the wire now with many of the jobs I applied for. Several with Burlington Northern Railroad close this week. And all the rest with Union Pacific close next week. Of course, the one I want the most is still the position in Dunsmuir. And of course that position is still open. The funny thing is that my birthday is next week. It'd be such an awesome present for me to get that job, or at least a chance to interview for it.

This past week the wife and I listed a bunch of stuff on Ebay for sale. Most of it was her prayer ropes, but I sold a few GW army kits I had lying around. Anyway, tonight all the auctions ended and to our suprise we made quite a killing. It's funny because GW cut off all the retailers that sold stuff on the internet thereby making GW stuff a bit more rare. Hence, what does get posted fetches a pretty good price.

Day after tommorrow we meet with the judge to finalize our bankruptcy. I'll be glad when its over. But, I must say that it was less of a hassle than I thought it was. In fact, I have a theory behind the whole business that I'll share once it is over.

Today I went to go see Return of the King for the second time. And for the second time I was moved to tears. What is it about a massive cavalry charge that can stir so much emotion? Perhaps it is envisioning the chance to stand against your enemies and triumph. To see fear and regret across their face as you run down those who have wronged and hated you. Not the attitude of a forgiving person I know. But, nonetheless very powerful. I think there is imagry and drama in that movie that stirs something deep within the soul. I suppose I could venture to guess what it is but I won't. Reason is the enemy of faith.

This morning I fought a terrible fight with myself. As I lay in the warmth of my bed next to my cozy wife I debated terribly about wether I wanted to get up and go to Church. Many of the old arguements for not going scrolled across my brain. But thankfully there lingered a resolve making me want to please God. We went to Church, and I feel so much better for it.
