Jerkous arrived here today. It's good to see him. Of course, the first thing he did when he arrived was to raid the fridge. But, hey you take the good with the bad :-) We connected our computers into a LAN but they just wouldn't connect despite all our efforts. I have no idea what the problem is, and Windows help is about useless. Oh well, I guess I'll have to actually go outside and do something for the next few days.
We got some bad news today that kinda made us stop and think. A guy my wife and I went to high school with was shot and killed along with his girlfriend here in town last night. I guess it was a domestic violence thing. The ex-boyfriend of the girl was the gunman. The guy we went to school with was a nice guy. I didn't know him to well. But, I do know that he was well liked by everyone. It was kinda eirree because we looked up his senior quote in the year book and it was "only the good die young".

Well, my Armenian brother is off the hook... Sort of. The jury came back deadlocked. It's doubtful wether they wil retry him because the jury was close to acquittal. I guess it came down to one cranky old lady who didn't like the look of my friend. I'm very glad for him. He may go back to work soon depending on wether his department considers the case dead.
Well, Jerkous still hasn't came over from Mordor. He got busy working on his car and lost track of time. What a jerk!
We heard from the economic developemtn committee chairperson today about our business loan. Apparently, he just got back from vacation and said he plans to start looking at our busniess plan ASAP. DOH!!! How long is this process gonna take!! It's especially crucial at this point that we get things going because of my pending separation form my job in Mordor. I guess it'll just happen when it does. But, this whole proces sure takes the fire and excitment out of opening a business.

The change has begun. I am now on the road to becoming more machine than man. I can feel my humanity sipping away as the doctors replace my body parts with artificial parts. Actually, I had a root canal done today. Boy, does my mouth feel better. It took the Doctor an hour and a half to finish the job. But, it was fairly painless and he kept me at ease the whole time. I'm certainly glad I found a dentist I like.
Today brought no verdict for my Armenian friend. The jury took half the day to deliberate but did not come to a decision. I think tommorrow I'll go to his trial in hopes of setting his mind at ease with my presence. I talked to his wife on the phone tonight and I guess they were both on edge. I don't blame them. But, I don't think that long deliberations are a bad sign... Yet!
Tommorrow is the big day. Jerkous is supposed to come over. I hope he makes it this time.

Well, my daughters team lost their last game in the tournament. They finished third in the tournament and first overall in the league. The girls were pretty broken up over the whole deal. However, the game was intense and very enjoyable. My daughter did very well.
Yesterday we went swimming at the lake for the first time this year. It was so nice. We BBQed hot dogs at the lake and just enjoyed ourselves. After coming home we were all so relaxed and comfortable. I ended up falling asleep on our new 8 foot couch we bought at a thrift store. Yesterday we also did some redecorating here at the house to accomodate our new furniture. I must say this is the most comfortable and nice arrangement we've ever had in our house. I am so pleased with it. I don't even think I'd be to embarassed having guests over.
Speaking of that, someday soon we're supposed to have Stout over to run a Star Wars game. It was supposed to be today. But, Stout dropped the ball on us. I think I'm starting to doubt his intent to really run a game. I may have to take the initative myself and start a game. I do enjoy playing, but I want the game to be fun and memorable for everyone.
Lastly, the Bastards of Mordor are up to their old tricks again. I got a letter from them on Friday informing me that I am to be terminated from my old job. I guess now that I'm cleared for work they don't want me back. Oh well, they'll get it in the end. It's sad because they won't deal with me squarely like a man. And to think it's supposed to be a law enforcement agency.
